Veracious, Acrimony
Veracious- able to be verified, truthful
Ex: The blunt, yet veracious sign on the bridge leading into their town read, “Welcome to Missoula, Montana, the meth capital of the United States!” Below this particularly warm welcome is fine print that reads, “The devil settled in this town long ago and he has never left. The souls of the damned inhabit the physical bodies of the living here. While God has turned his back on us and forsaken us, Moloch, the Canaanite god of child sacrifice, has shown us favor.” Anyways, the word is veracious, which means truthful. That’s all you really need to know.
Acrimony- bitterness, anger
Ex: What started as a simple misunderstanding between the convenience store clerk and the customer soon became infused with a heavy dose of acrimony when the customer started comparing the clerk to a certain cancelled Simpsons character, followed by a rash string of racial remarks. Things only escalated further when the clerk executed a “bean-dip” maneuver on the customer’s man-tits and told him that it might be a good idea to put the Twinkies back on the shelf.
