Sycophancy, Convalescence, Rectitude, Erudite
Here are some words to brighten up your Monday. As always, if you enjoy what you read, share our newsletter with a friend.
Sycophancy- engaging in flattery
Ex: The workplace is filled with sycophancy: colleagues acting as if they truly care about one another’s families, knowing damn well that they have wished the most excruciating deaths on each other following passive aggressive email exchanges.
Convalescence- recovery from an illness
Ex: The doctor marveled at his convalescence from genital herpes, exclaiming, “No more warts!”
Rectitude- having high moral standards
Ex: Never the model of rectitude, Douglas stole the newborn from the family and baked it into a pie.
Erudite- having or showing great knowledge, usually attained through studying
Ex: An erudite discussion about the geopolitical climate was held by the ivy league professors. The students, on the other hand, were engaged in a fiery debate about The Fappening icloud leaks of 2014.
