Objurgate- to criticize sharply; rebuke vehemently; berate
Ex: The salesman at Lenscrafters was objurgated by a know-it-all customer who just couldn’t see eye-to-eye with the salesman’s logic.
“So, I told you that I was looking for a small frame. Something that highlights my eyes, but doesn’t draw too much attention to my schnoz. And you recommended AVIATORS? I look like the fucking witch from Spirited Away in Aviators!”
“You know what, you’re right. My bad. I should have picked a more low-key style. How about the reflective Oakley Radar EV path sunglasses?”
“You’re kidding, right? Those Oakleys make my nose look like a Bactrian camel. I normally look like a dromedary, you know, with the bump and all, but those Oakleys legitimately gave my nose a new bump that I didn’t know existed. Is there anybody else I can speak with here?”
“You know what dude? I’ll say it. The glasses aren’t the issue. Your nose is the issue! No style of glasses is going to mask that pecker!”
“You take that back!”
“I will not take it back!”
“Recommend me a monocle!”
“We don’t sell monocles!”
“I need something, anything, to distract people from my nose!”
“How about a mask?”
“Screw you!”
What do you know! A word I didn't recognize.
