Impetuous- impulsive; rash
Ex: “Okay, I admit, it was an impetuous decision to go for the egg salad at the airport grab and go stand, but what else was I going to do? The flight was boarding and I was 25 gates away!”
The woman in the window seat next to him put her head in her lap and started sobbing. After a few minutes, she regained her breath and composure. Two hours. That’s how long the flight was. She just had to make it two hours. The man pulled out a tin of sardines in olive oil and began to pull back the lid. She pulled the disposable headphones out of the plastic bag they came in and placed the empty bag over her head. The man yelled for the flight attendant. The flight attendant sensed the urgency in his call and ran down the aisle towards him. He looked the attendant in her eyes and in a desperate tone asked her if she had any capers in the back storage area.
Impolitic- unwise, imprudent
Ex: It was rather impolitic of her to ask the wife-beater wearing, no front-teeth having, blaring boom box guy on the subway for help with tying her shoes. It was also rather unwise of her to never have learned to tie her shoes in the first place. She thought the UGGs trend would last forever, but fashion trends fade quickly. Her and her friends used to rock UGGs to school every single day. Funny enough, that’s what they used to call her and her friends: The UGGs. And just that moment it dawned on her that they were never talking about her shoes at all.
okay that very last line made me lol
