Imbroglio

Imbroglio- an extremely embarrassing, complicated, or confusing situation

Ex: So, I was driving for DoorDash the other day when all of a sudden, the app went down. I had just picked up a customer’s food, but now there was no way to notify them, and no way to know where to drop it off. I had been thrust into a bit of an imbroglio. So, after about 15 minutes of refreshing the app and checking out twitter and the dashers’ subreddit to see if anyone else was in my precarious position, I decided to just absolutely muck the customers’ food. Now I don’t know what kind of sewer-dwelling super rat I was meant to be delivering to, but this shmuck ordered two full rotisserie chickens from Boston Market with a side of sweet potato casserole and creamed spinach. And if he was some kind of toxic, obese subterranean monster, what does that make me? Considering I was the guy who pulled into the most remote parking spot (facing away from the store- I was avoiding human interaction by any means necessary) in the lot behind Filene’s Basement and housed two full rotisserie chickens and tongued the inside of the aluminum tray of creamed spinach until that thing sparkled like the top of Kevin Youkilis’ smooth, bald head.
