Heterodox- unorthodox; deviating from an officially approved belief

Ex: For an orthodox guy, he adopted a whole set of heterodox views, such as: one should only make love to ones' wife through a hole in a bed sheet laid on top of her body; one should eat multiple types of pickled and smoked white fishes every week; one should probably dig a series of tunnels under ones’ cultural centers for undisclosed reasons (I think I heard rumor that the tunnels filtered out into a series of bagel shops in Crown heights- can’t fault them for wanting easier schmear access); when celebrating, one shalt get sturdy as if one were a drill rapper from Canarsie, despite the music pumping from the loudspeakers sounding an awful lot like a chain smoking man clearing his throat in a kebab shop next to a Berlin nightclub.
