Ex: “Excuse me, have there ever been any break-ins into the factory? Like any security weak points and camera blind spots that might have been taken advantage of?” Asked Tabitha on the Ben and Jerry’s factory tour and tasting. “Tabitha, that is not germane to our tour itinerary today. Please keep the questions relevant to our ice cream making process”, the tour guide responded. “Okay, well, say, in the boiler room, where the ice cream is initially churned, are there any vents or slits in the wall that might be easily breached from the outside?” Tabitha enquired. “Tabitha, I have no idea what you are getting at, but please, please keep the questions strictly related to the ice cream itself!” said the tour guide, with growing suspicion. “So, I noticed that you guys outsource for some toppings, Oreos for instance. Do those ever arrive outside of regular operating hours for the facility, say when the truck bay only maybe has one attendant keeping watch?” Tabitha had revealed her cards with that last ominously probing question. The rest of the tour group watched in awe as the cops ran into the room and form-tackled Tabitha through a cardboard cutout of the Chunky Monkey pint label.

Polemical- relating to a controversial writing or speech intended to promote one set of ideas while critically undermining another.

Ex: It just so happened that at every family Thanksgiving at the Stoneman’s household, right around the time when the candied yams were being brought out, uncle Jessie launched into a polemical tirade about how immigrants are stealing all the jobs in this country from hardworking Americans. The rest of the family was always quick to retort that uncle Jessie had been fired from his prestigious post as a cashier at 7-Eleven for stealing Camel Crush cigarettes and F’real milkshakes to construct “Icy menthol throat-goat shakes”. It was not as if Manny had just strolled in and taken his job.
