Extol, Temporal, Diffidence
Extol- to praise highly
Ex: He extolled the natural wonders of anal sunning to the senior citizens, who exchanged confused glances at one another at first, but by the end of the speech they were completely sold on the concept. Soon, the shuffleboard court would be a place of unspeakable torture to an unsuspecting passerby’s eyeballs.
Temporal- secular, not relating to spiritual affairs/ relating to time
Ex: The Pastor had no desire to send his kid to a regular school, attending temporal classes that had no religious value. He especially despised science class, for obvious reasons. In the homeschool curriculum that he created for his child, Summer break was only 11 days, from July 10th to the 21st, the anniversary of the Scopes Monkey Trial.
Diffidence- shyness resulting from poor self-esteem or lack of confidence
Ex: His diffidence prevented him from speaking to the girl. His friends were puzzled as to how he managed to be intimidated by a Susan Boyle look-alike.
