Doughty, Venality, Laconic
Doughty- brave and persistent, resolute
Ex: Fergus was a doughty bloke. He painfully chewed his way through the chilaquiles that were laden with habanero salsa, knowing full well that his people once survived off of potatoes alone. His stomach was converted into an IRA car bomb, except this time Sunday Bloody Sunday was about to refer to his asshole over the next 24 hours.
Venality- capable of being bribed, open to taking money for favors
Ex: Normally, Funkmasta J Spizzle would have been turned away from the recording studio as soon as he arrived, but the venality of Jovan, the front desk employee, worked in his favor, as he was able to slip him a crisp Benjamin for an hour of studio time. Jovan started to question his morals after overhearing the rhyme, “Your girl from the Amalfi she cooks the pesto with the pine nuts, oh snap! She’s on her knees, I’m like Ralph Fiennes in the MI6 the way I track down these sluts!” faintly emanating from J Spizzle’s studio.
Laconic- using very few words; terse
Ex: Gary was sometimes referred to as “the compressor” by his friends for his laconic descriptions of grandiose events. When asked once about his experience attending the 2022 Oscars, Gary fired back with, “slap, movies, good”.
