Dissipation, Premonition, Despotic
As another work week crawls to an end, I hope everyone has been feeling a newfound sense of eloquence in their everyday speech. I also hope nobody has been punched in the face for using these words in casual conversation. If you have been, just take that as a sign that people are now jealous of your massive vocabulary and bulging brain. The bulging brain may have been a result of the punch. You should probably give that a few days for the swelling to go down, and then report back to me. If your brain is still noticeably bigger, then I’ll take some of the credit.
Dissipation- decadence, excessive indulgence
Ex: Janet’s recent mukbang was an act of caloric dissipation in which the Frankensteinian creation known as the “Snickers-Twix-KFC-Popeyes Soufflé” was introduced to the world. By god, that thing should have never seen the light of day.
Premonition- a gut feeling that something is about to occur
Ex: He had a premonition that the Mayan’s 2012 prediction was about to come true. All those late nights spent stoned and paranoid listening to the Joe Rogan Experience had surely inspired this forewarning of the apocalypse.
Despotic- describing a person/government with absolute power; tyranny
Ex: The despotic regime was helmed by the king, who ruled with an iron fist. Under his tyrannical dictatorship, it was not uncommon to see peasants in the town square having their nipples torn off and then replaced with upside down Snapple bottle caps so that the king could have his daily dose of fun facts.
