Denigration, Approbation

Denigration- the action of speaking down upon someone or something; belittling

Ex: I will not stand for the denigration of the WWE in this household! So what if it’s fake? A man can’t have a passion for acting and for said juiced up thespians? What’s next? You’re going to tell me it’s odd for a grown man to have a shrine to Jeff Hardy that features a light fixture that he Swanton bombed off of, and, of course, the pièce de résistance, a neon purple and green crack pipe from his later years when he was in and out of the WWE due to substance abuse issues?

Approbation- approval, usually by those with authority

Ex: The IRB granted approbation to a new study intended to measure the effects of pepper spray on buskers wearing silver and gold body paint in order to look like statues in the local park. The study hypothesis is that although these “statues” are notoriously committed to staying perfectly still, we could probably get them to move if we just pepper sprayed them in their fucking eyes.
