Delineate, Specious, Caustic
Delineate- to represent accurately; to outline
Ex: Huey’s neighbor frequently had to delineate to him the boundaries between their two yards. Huey had been planting his cocoa trees alongside the border, and his neighbor was not about to be implicated in the human rights violations that were about to come along with Huey’s vision for a “Neo-Wonka style” factory in which the only fair trade, in his eyes, would be a pound of cheap migrant worker flesh for a tall, ice-cold glass of lemonade in the oppressive Mississippi heat.
Specious- seeming to be right, but actually false
Ex: Renee propagated the specious claim that different parts of your tongue correspond to different taste perceptions. “I swear to god Renee, shut the fuck up!” Screamed Dr. Mason as he attempted to extract the bullet fragments out of the rapidly fading patient’s Kidney. Renee was fired from the ward mere moments after the surgery was completed. The hospital made a note never to give a position to anyone who included their horoscope on their resume ever again.
Caustic- sarcastic and biting
Ex: “Christine, nice bell-bottoms, you look like if Jane Fonda had cerebral palsy!” The caustic comment rocked Christine to her core. She grew up idolizing Jane Fonda, and she had always been self-conscious about her unusual gait.
