Acolyte- an assistant (often in a religious service); a follower; a minion

Ex: Anything written about Taylor Swift online that falls short of unwavering praise and complete, humble submission to her greatness will be met with vehement, incessant opposition from her “swifty” acolytes. The other day I tweeted something along the lines of, “Taylor Swift probably couldn’t successfully complete a heart transplant” and one swifty replied, “Taylor can accomplish anything she puts her mind to. She thrives in high pressure situations.” To which I responded, “Alright, I’ll be sure to page in Dr. Swift when your heart inevitably swells up and stops pumping, you fat Midwestern cunt!”. I have since been blocked by the Taylor Nation fan account.
